At ComplianceEase, a division of LogicEase Solutions Inc. ("ComplianceEase"), we recognize your right to confidentiality and value your trust very seriously. By publishing this Privacy Statement ("Statement"), we want you to know that we apply our long-standing commitment to safeguarding privacy to all of our online services and activities. This Statement discloses the privacy practices for www.RegulatorConnect.org ("Website"). The use of this Website or the Service (as defined below), including the submission of data, constitutes your acknowledgement that you have read and understood this Statement and agreed with its terms. We reserve the right to change this Statement and will provide notification of the change at least 30 business days prior to the change taking effect.
1. Information Collection and User Registration.
Any person accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Website, whether manually or though an automated mechanism, is considered a "User". ComplianceEase collects information from two types of Users: casual Users, or “Visitors”, who may access the main site and non-restricted pages of the Website, and “Registered Users”, who register with ComplianceEase and are thereby permitted to access restricted portions of the Website. Registered Users are either lenders or other audited entities (each, a “Provider”) or regulatory agencies (each, a “Regulator”) that conduct audits or examinations of Providers. The Service will facilitate the transmission of loan data and information (“Data”) from Providers to Regulators.
ComplianceEase collects information from Users at several different points on the Website for the RegulatorConnectTM service ("Service") we provide. In general, Visitors can visit the non-restricted pages of the Website without identifying themselves or revealing any personal information. Information tracking is limited to general Website traffic statistics and does not include personally identifiable information.
If a Visitor is interested in becoming a Registered User, we will ask the prospective Registered User to provide basic information such as company name, contact name, address, email address and telephone number. This information (collectively, "Registration Information") may be used to contact the prospective Registered User about the Service. Registration Information is treated as confidential, and its use is restricted to internal ComplianceEase and User support operations. If other information is requested during the registration process, we will clearly indicate the information that is optional and not required in order to use the Service. Internet addresses and other related information may also be collected when Users visit the Website. This information is logged to our secure database to help diagnose technical problems and to administer the Website so that we can maintain and improve the quality of service on the Website. We may also track and analyze non-personally identifiable aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our Users and provide such information to third parties.
2. Use of Collected Information.
Except as may otherwise be agreed in writing by ComplianceEase and any Registered User, whether in a User Agreement or otherwise, which agreement will govern the Data submitted to ComplianceEase by such Registered User, ComplianceEase is the sole owner of the information collected on the Website. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this Privacy Statement.
ComplianceEase uses the information we collect to set up the Service for individuals and their institutions. We may also use the information to contact Users and prospects to discuss further their interest in our services and to provide information (such as announcements of promotions and events) about ComplianceEase or alliance partners. We may also e-mail newsletters and updates about the Service or ComplianceEase. You can opt out of receiving these communications by replying to them at the time they are distributed or at any time by e-mailing Support@RegulatorConnect.org.
Data and information submitted to ComplianceEase through the Website will not be reviewed, shared, distributed or publicly referenced by ComplianceEase except as provided in the ComplianceEase Terms of Use and the User Agreement (collectively, the "Terms of Service"), or as may be required by law. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving problems, support issues, or suspected violation of the Terms of Service, or as may be required by law. Registered Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their User IDs and Passwords.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, we may collect such information. We may use such information without restriction for marketing purposes, but we will not disclose any personally identifiable information in doing so without your prior consent. For example, if you send us a letter telling us how helpful the Service is to you, we may use the comment in our marketing materials, but we will not use your name when we do so unless you agree in advance.
ComplianceEase cooperates with law enforcement and other third parties to enforce laws and property rights. We reserve the right to disclose any personal information that is necessary, in our reasonable discretion, to aid in such enforcement and to report any illegal activity to law enforcement authorities. We also reserve the right to release personal information concerning a User who we believe is in violation of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Statement, even without a subpoena, warrant, or other court order.
In the event that another company acquires ComplianceEase or substantially all of its assets, as part of such transaction, information collected on this Website, including Registration Information, may be transferred to the acquiring company.
3. Cookies and Log Files.
ComplianceEase also collects anonymous information passively using cookies. Cookies play an important role in making the Internet work but there continues to be substantial confusion among Internet users about what cookies are and how they are used.
A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a Web site to the hard drive of your computer so that the site administrator may identify your computer and passively track its activities on the Web site. Since cookies are only text files, they cannot run like a program on your computer, search your computer for other information, or transmit any information to anyone. We do not use cookies to store any personal identification information.
The Website may use cookies to facilitate a User's movement throughout the Website, to check a User's browser type so that we can ensure that our Website runs optimally on a User's computer, and to authenticate a Registered User's access to restricted areas on our Website. Also, for instance, by setting a cookie on the Website, a Registered User would not have to sign in with a password more than once, thereby saving time while on the Website. The Website may use session cookies containing encrypted or encoded information, including your User ID and session ID. This information allows us to process your online transactions and requests. Session cookies help us make sure you are who you say you are after you are signed in and are required in order to use the ComplianceEase applications.
The use of cookies is an industry standard and they are currently used on most major Web sites. Most Web browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you prefer, you can reset your browser to notify you when you have received a cookie. You can also refuse to accept cookies altogether. If a User rejects the cookie, that User may still use the Website, but as noted above, some portions of the Website may not function properly or may be restricted or unavailable.
The Website also uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the Website, track User's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
4. Links.
This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by this Website. All Users should be aware that the Website may contain links to other Web sites. Any such linked sites are not under the control of ComplianceEase and ComplianceEase is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other Web sites. We encourage all Users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information.
5. Security.
ComplianceEase uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology to keep your personal information as secure as possible. While we strive to protect your personal information, ComplianceEase cannot warrant or guarantee the security of any information you transmit.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also strive to protect user-information off-line. All of our Users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to the information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure that our Registered Users' and their customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers on which we store our Registered Users' data are kept in a secure environment, with around the clock security.
6. Site and Service Updates.
We send email to Registered Users to announce service updates. Registered Users are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the Website and Services provided. We communicate with our Registered Users via email or phone to provide requested services and to respond to issues relating to their account.
7. Correcting/Updating Personal Information.
If a User's personally identifiable information changes, such as phone number, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that User's personal data provided to us. This can usually be done at the User Profile page on the Website.
You may not opt out of the collection of Registration Information unless you cancel your registration. Upon your request, we will make your Registered User account inactive. To make this request, email us at Support@RegulatorConnect.org. If you so request, we will disable your account within 15 business days after you contact us and request such removal.
In some circumstances, we will retain certain information in our files for the purposes of resolving disputes, troubleshooting problems, enforcing the Terms of Service or other legal requirements. Further, due to technical constraints and the fact that we back up our systems, it is impractical to remove all such information from our systems. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your personally identifiable information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests.
8. Notification of Changes.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on the Sign-In page of the Website and/or email such changes to Registered Users. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify Users by way of email. Users will have the ability to request that we not use their information in this different manner. In such event, we will use the information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected. If you feel that ComplianceEase is not abiding by its posted privacy policy, you should contact User Support by email at Support@RegulatorConnect.org.
